Tables are one of the most flexible modules in the IntellCRE Brochure Builder. You can build a table from scratch, import one directly from a spreadsheet, or paste data straight in from Excel. This article covers how to add a table, get your data into it, and customize every part of it.
Adding a Table Module
Open your Brochure
Click Add Module.
Select Table.
Place the table anywhere on the page grid.
Drag a corner to resize it.
Defaults and quick controls:
Tables come with 3 columns by default. Use the + icon to add columns, or remove the ones you don't need.
Tables start with 1 row. Use the + row icon to add more.
Getting Data Into a Table
There are three ways to get data into a table.
Option 1: Import a sheet as a new page
Best when you're starting a new brochure version and already have the financials in a spreadsheet.
Add a page and choose Import Sheet.
Upload a file from your computer, or select a document already in the deal's data room.
Choose the specific sheet you want to pull data from.
The table page is created automatically and keeps the formatting from your original file. From there you can customize it like any other table.
Option 2: Import a sheet into an existing table
Click the import icon next to the add row icon in the table module.
Select the document from your data room.
Choose the sheet that contains your data.
The data imports with the same styles and formatting as the original document.
Option 3: Type or paste directly
Click into a cell and type your data, or
Copy cells from any Excel document, click into the starting cell in your table, and paste.
If there aren't enough rows or columns to hold what you pasted, the system adds them for you automatically.
Formatting and Styling
You can format at four levels: individual cell, selected text within a cell, row or column, or the entire table.
Click the table to open table-level settings on the right (Table Module).
Click and drag across cells to select a subset, then style that Table Selection.
Select a single cell or highlight text inside it to format just that piece.
Options available
Setting | What it controls |
Font, size, color | Text styling at any selection level |
Bold / regular | Emphasis per cell, text, row, column, or table |
Background color | Fill for cells or the whole table |
Border | Outer border of the table |
Horizontal alignment | Left, center, right |
Vertical alignment | Top, center, bottom |
Row height | Auto fit by default, or set manually per table or per row |
X padding | Spacing from the left inside the cell |
Y padding | Vertical spacing inside the cell |
Width and height | Set table dimensions manually |
X / Y position | Position of the table origin on the page |
Corner radius | Rounding on the outer grid |
Other adjustments:
Column width: drag the column dividers at the top of the table.
Merge cells: select cells and merge, same as you would in Excel.
Module padding: control left, right, and vertical padding in the layout panel.
Tip: To build a header row, merge the cells, add a dark background color, then set the text to bold, larger, and white.
Grid Options
Control gridlines from the table settings:
Full grid with a custom grid color
Horizontal only
Vertical only
No grid, or set the grid color to transparent to remove it completely
Reusing and Removing Tables
Duplicate: click the three dots on the module and select Duplicate.
Copy multiple modules: click one module, hold Shift and click another to select both, then Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V and place the copies on the page. This works for any module or group of modules.
Delete: click the three dots and select Delete.
Coming Soon: AI-Populated Tables
With an upcoming release, you'll be able to have AI populate any table in any saved page or saved outline directly with data from your data room.
What that means for your workflow:
Style your pages once, or have our team style them for you, and save them.
Every table across your saved pages, for any document type (OM, BOV, flyer), gets populated automatically with data from the documents in that deal's data room.
