Brand Controls for Admins: Locks, Pins & AI Settings

Once you've designed your saved pages and outlines, you can lock them so nobody on your team accidentally changes the layout, styles, or structure. Set permissions for a whole page, for individual modules, and for pages within an outline, and control exactly where the AI populates deal data. The result: consistent, on-brand brochures across your entire team.

Where to Find Page Edit Permissions

  1. Go to Settings > Saved Pages.

  2. Open the page you want to protect.

  3. Find Page Edit Permissions in the right-hand options panel.

Permissions work at two levels:

  • Page level: with no module selected, settings apply to the entire page.

  • Module level: select a module to set permissions for just that module.

Page Level Permissions

Lock or unlock the page

  • Unlocked: anyone can edit the page, including moving modules, changing text, and adjusting styles.

  • Locked: only admins can edit the page. Everyone else can still use it in your outlines, but can't change its layout, styles, or content.

AI population for the whole page

With no module selected, you can enable or disable AI population for the entire page.

  • Disable it for pages that never change from deal to deal, like an "About Us" or team page with your office count and company info. The AI will never try to fill this page with data from the data room.

  • Keep it on for pages that should populate with each deal's data.

Module Level Permissions

Select any module on the page, then open Module Permissions. You have three options:

  • Unlocked: the module can be edited freely.

  • Fully Locked: nothing about the module can be changed.

  • Partially Locked: pick category by category what's locked and what users can still edit.

Partial lock options

Option

What locking it does

Size

The module can't be resized

Content

The text or data inside the module can't be changed

Position

The module can't be moved on the page

Style

No changes to colors, fonts, or other styling

Removal

The module can't be deleted from the page

Layer Order

The module can't be moved forward or backward in the page layers

AI population for a module

Each module also has its own AI population setting. When you fully lock a module, the system asks if you also want to disable AI population for it.

Module Examples

A page title that should never change

  1. Select the title module.

  2. Set it to Fully Locked.

  3. When prompted, choose Disable AI population.

The title stays exactly as designed in every future deck, and the AI won't try to rewrite it.

A pricing table where only the numbers change

  1. Select the table module.

  2. Set it to Partially Locked.

  3. Lock everything except Content: size, position, style, removal, and layer order.

  4. Keep AI population enabled.

The AI fills in the numbers from each deal's data room, and users can still edit cell contents or add a note in the deck builder. They just can't restyle, resize, move, or delete the table.

Locking and Pinning Pages in an Outline

Admins can also protect the structure of a saved outline so it's always set up the way you designed it. This is especially useful for pages like a confidentiality agreement or disclaimer that should be in every deck, in the same spot.

  1. Go to Settings > Saved Outlines and open the outline.

  2. Select the page you want to protect.

  3. In the page's permissions, choose your setting:

Setting

What users can do

Locked + Pinned

Nothing. The page can't be removed, moved, or changed.

Locked only

Move the page to a different spot, but not remove or change it.

Unlocked

Move, remove, or edit the page freely.

You can also lock the entire outline from the outline's options.

Example: a CA page that's always page 2

  1. Open your OM outline and move your confidentiality agreement page to position 2.

  2. Select the page.

  3. Lock and pin it.

Every OM built from that outline will now have your CA as page 2, exactly as designed.

Putting It All Together

With these settings, admins have full control over your team's outlines:

  • Page locks keep entire pages exactly as designed.

  • Module locks protect layouts, styles, logos, and colors, fully or partially.

  • AI population settings control which modules get filled in from the data room and which stay untouched.

  • Pinned and locked outline pages keep your outline structure consistent.

Your team just works with the content, populated by AI from each deal's data room. Every brochure comes out consistent and on brand, without anyone breaking a layout.

Tips

  • Lock design, not data. For pages that pull in deal info, lock size, position, and style, but leave content and AI population on.

  • Turn off AI for static pages like team bios, about us, and disclaimers.

  • Lock and pin required pages like CAs and disclaimers so they're never removed or moved.

  • Locks don't apply to admins, so they can always make updates when something needs to change.
