Managing Brochures: Saved Pages & Outlines

An Outline is a reusable set of pages, organized into sections, that you can load whenever you start a new brochure version. Outlines can combine system default pages with your own Saved Pages, which means you build your custom pages once and reuse them on every deal. This article covers how the two work together.

How Saved Pages and Outlines Fit Together

  • Saved Pages are individual custom pages you've built and saved to the system.

  • Outlines are the document structure: sections, and the pages inside each section.

  • An outline can pull in both system default pages (cover, table of contents, sale map, and so on) and your Saved Pages.

Prerequisite: an outline can only reference a page that already exists in Saved Pages. Build and save the pages you need first, then assemble the outline from them.

Where to Find Them

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Under the Brochures category, you'll see Saved Pages and Outlines.

  3. Click Outlines to see every outline you've saved.

Outlines can be grouped into folders, the same way you organize saved pages and template pages.

Creating a New Outline

  1. In Settings → Outlines, click New Outline.

  2. Name it (for example, "My OM Outline 2").

  3. Choose a layout, such as single page view.

  4. Pick a starter outline. Full is a fine default since you can fully customize it afterward.

The outline appears on the right with its section structure. A full starter includes Intro, Asset, Tenant Overview, Sales Comps, Rent Comps, Market Overview, Advisory Bios, and Outro.

Customizing the Outline

Remove a section: click the three dots on the section and remove it. Same for individual pages.

Add a section: click Add Section at the bottom of the outline or inline, then name it (for example, "Executive Summary").

Add a page to a section:

  1. Click the three dots on the section and choose Add New Page, or add a page directly from the section.

  2. Choose either a system default page or any page from your Saved Pages.

  3. For an Executive Summary section, you'd add your saved executive summary page.

Reposition: drag any section or page where you want it. For example, move Executive Summary directly after Intro so it lands right after the table of contents.

Changes are autosaved. When the outline looks right, just leave the screen.

Applying an Outline to a Deal

  1. Go to Properties and open or create a deal.

  2. Open Brochures and create a New Brochure Version using the New Builder.

  3. On the setup screen, find the Outline option.

  4. Choose a system default outline or one of your saved outlines.

The builder loads your outline and pulls in the deal's data automatically:

  • The cover page fills with the property's main photo

  • The table of contents populates with the contents and data

  • Each section, including your custom saved pages, loads with that deal's data

Your full outline loads exactly as you saved it, ready to review and finish.

Moving Over From the Legacy Builder

If you're still working in the older builder, we recommend migrating. The new builder offers more customization and produces higher quality assets. We're happy to handle the move:

  • Saved Pages: we can migrate your saved pages from the old builder into Saved Pages in the new builder.

  • Outlines: we can rebuild your existing outlines (BOV outline, premium OM outline, and so on) in the new builder so you can load and reuse them.

Just reach out and we'll take care of it.
